As a Heating , Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Contractor, The Weatherization Company believes HVAC Contractors are uniquely positioned to take over the Home Performance industry because our job has traditionally been to provide comfort. Weatherization has evolved from a focus on energy waste to home comfort. In this new era rebates are driven by the homes owners ability to purchase a new air conditioning system, but don’t forget window film, insulation and air sealing. At The Weatherization Company we do it all in house.
Rebates Require Skilled Technicians
Refrigeration and Heating can be very complex and sometimes confusing but not more so than Weatherization. Weatherization is a complex topic and it’s growing in complexity every year. Because HVAC companies are technically savvy they appear to be the rightful heir to the Weatherization Industry.
Air Conditioning will evolve
The problem has been HVAC companies are struggling with change, not so for The Weatherization Company. Our past business model was Self Perform Home Building where we poured the foundation, framed the house, installed the roofing – siding – windows, HVAC and anything else you can think of. But after careful evaluation we felt we added more value because of our expertise with Electrical, HVAC, Insulation and Solar. So we dropped home building and we now focus on Prime Sub Contracting, meaning we work for general contractors mostly but as a Weatherization Contractor we have the primary contract with the owner directly.
We renamed our company from HumbleHG (Humble Healthy and Green) to The Weatherization Company Inc. Our goal is to be the owners “go to” resource for all things technical. We have Auditors in house, Engineers, Construction Managers and Builders. If you need it done whether it’s big or small, you need a “ONE STOP SHOP” and we’re it. We are the future of weatherization.
